About “LOVE ME!” says food

I studied Nutrition and Food Science. After working in areas of nutrition; community, foodservice, clinical and some time at the hospital, I wasn’t so sure I wanted to be prescribing any type of diet.

“Food science has always been cool,” I thought, so I ended up working in regulatory & food.  My job had me reviewing labels down to ‘T’: the thickness of lines and size of typeface. I verify ingredient lists and check claims.

I started this blog to share my experiences in food, predominantly an excuse for me to eat out at fancy places – this has become a full-blown addiction curbed only by my wallet.  I highlight the locality of what was happening in the community around me.

What now

We are Dublin-based! I am a Canadian loving life in Dublin!  I’m here working with the other thing I love most, speciality coffee.  I’m also doing a Masters in Food Policy at City University London, looking deeper into what we eat and who determines that – all the factors, and I mean there are a lot of things to consider.

love ARTS

Other than food things, I enjoy art; mainly photography and music. I have played violin and piano for most my life and I love to go to the symphony.

love WELLNESS

Healthful eating & active living are a choice, a lifestyle, not an accident.  A healthy lifestyle not only feels good, but hopefully allows you to enjoy the life you love for longer.

Hey, welcome to Dublin – I was referred to your food blog by the team at Feeding the 5000. I spent the afternoon handing out potatoes… was a great event. Love your blog, for coffee recommendations – have you tried Wall and Keogh organic teas? (45 Richmond Street South, Portobello Dublin). If not, try it – its wonderful. Pop up cook demo’s are also popular in Dublin. Enjoy!

Great to be part of a good cause! (Feeding5k)
Thanks for the note! I appreciate the recommendations, I have been looking for new ideas to try out – and have been working up quite the list. Wall & Keogh is definitely next on the list 🙂
      Keep me posted on ideas!
